CVE-2025-71211 is a critical remote code execution vulnerability in the Trend Micro Apex One management console. The flaw is described as a console directory traversal issue affecting a specific executable in the console and is similar in scope to CVE-2025-71210, but in a different executable. Available technical details indicate the root cause is improper validation of a user-supplied string before it is used in a system call, enabling a remote attacker to upload malicious code and execute arbitrary commands on affected installations. The vulnerable console listens on TCP ports 8080 and 4343 by default, and successful exploitation can result in code execution in the context of the IUSR account. The issue has been characterized as unauthenticated in some reporting, although vendor guidance also states that the attacker must have access to the Apex One Management Console.
