CVE-2025-9289 is a cross-site scripting vulnerability affecting TP-Link Omada hardware, software, and cloud-based controllers. The flaw exists in the controller web interface because values supplied during device adoption are not properly sanitized before being rendered to an authenticated administrator. This creates a cross-channel scripting condition in which attacker-controlled adoption data can be injected into administrative views and executed as arbitrary JavaScript in the administrator’s browser session. The issue is particularly relevant in attack chains involving spoofed or maliciously registered devices, where crafted adoption metadata can later be displayed in the management interface.
