CVE-2026-0714 is a physical attack vulnerability affecting certain Moxa industrial computers running Moxa Industrial Linux 3 with TPM-backed LUKS full-disk encryption. On affected systems, a discrete TPM is connected to the main processor over an SPI bus, and TPM communications during boot can be captured by an attacker with invasive hardware access. Reported analysis indicates the LUKS device decryption key may be exposed in plaintext on the SPI interface during the boot process, undermining the intended protection provided by TPM-sealed disk unlocking. Successful exploitation requires opening the device, attaching external capture equipment to the SPI bus, recording TPM traffic, and performing subsequent signal analysis. The issue is not remotely exploitable and is limited to scenarios involving prolonged, non-opportunistic physical possession of the device.
