CVE-2026-101337 is a stack-based buffer overflow in NLnet Labs NSD's zone-file base64 RDATA parsing. When base64 data is divided into tokens of three characters or fewer, NSD incorrectly calculates tokens as producing zero decoded bytes and reserves insufficient buffer space. Subsequent decoding can overwrite the stack with up to 64 KB of attacker-controlled data, potentially enabling arbitrary code execution. Exploitation requires a specially formatted zone file supplied directly to NSD; files written by NSD itself, including secondary-zone files, do not use the triggering format.

A buffer-sizing flaw in simdzone's handling of base64 sequence tokens. The fix ensures the correct number of bytes is reserved regardless of the stream decoder phase. The update to simdzone 0.2.7 includes the fix; the content does not specify exploitability or affected version ranges.
A byte-reservation flaw in simdzone's handling of base64 sequence tokens across stream decoder phases. Fixed in simdzone 0.2.7; the content does not specify the exploitation impact.
Incorrect byte reservation for base64 sequence tokens in simdzone, dependent on the stream decoder phase. Fixed in simdzone 0.2.7; the content does not specify exploitation consequences.
A buffer-reservation flaw in simdzone's handling of base64 sequence tokens. The fix ensures the correct number of bytes is reserved regardless of the stream decoder phase. Fixed in simdzone 0.2.7; the content does not specify the ultimate security impact.
