CVE-2026-11605 is a remotely exploitable resource-exhaustion vulnerability in BIND 9 DNSSEC validation. The validator processes all RRSIG records supplied in an answer, including valid signatures that are not required to validate the answer. An authoritative zone returning a large number of valid but superfluous RRSIG records can therefore cause disproportionate signature-validation CPU consumption. The issue affects BIND 9.20.0 through 9.20.24, BIND 9.21.0 through 9.21.23, and affected BIND Supported Preview Edition releases.
