CVE-2026-12009 is a critical insufficient validation of untrusted input vulnerability in the Accessibility component of Google Chrome on macOS prior to version 149.0.7827.115. The flaw allows a remote attacker, after first compromising the renderer process, to leverage a crafted HTML page to trigger improper handling of untrusted input within Accessibility-related functionality and potentially escape Chrome’s sandbox. The issue is specific to Chrome on Mac and affects the boundary between a compromised renderer and more privileged browser or operating-system mediated functionality.
