CVE-2026-12453 is a high-severity input validation flaw in the Input component of Google Chrome prior to version 149.0.7827.155. Insufficient validation of untrusted input allows a remote attacker, after first compromising the renderer process, to use a crafted HTML page to bypass the browser's same origin policy. The issue is a security restriction bypass rather than a direct memory corruption bug, and it affects Chromium-derived browsers that incorporated the vulnerable code, including Google Chrome and Chromium-based Microsoft Edge before the corresponding fixed releases.
