CVE-2026-12486 is a remote OS command injection vulnerability in GeoVision GV-I/O Box 4E version 2.09. The flaw is in the internal library libNetSetObj.so, specifically the function CNetSetObj::m_F_n_Set_IP_Addr, which accepts an IP address string, incorporates that attacker-controlled value into a shell command using sprintf, and then executes the resulting command via system() without sanitization or neutralization of shell metacharacters. The constructed command invokes network configuration functionality, but because the input is not validated, an attacker can inject arbitrary operating system commands instead of a legitimate IP address. The vulnerable code path is reachable through the network-exposed DVRSearch service and the Network.cgi endpoint, making the issue remotely exploitable via a specially crafted network request.
