CVE-2026-12761 is a critical authentication bypass vulnerability in the miniOrange Social Login and Register plugin for WordPress affecting versions up to and including 7.7.0. The flaw is in the Profile Completion OTP flow, which accepts an arbitrary email address supplied by the client without verifying that the address belongs to the identity returned by the OAuth provider. In addition, the OTP workflow exposes a SHA-512 transaction hash derived from a static customer key and a low-entropy numeric OTP generated from a space of roughly 99,000 values. Because the hash is returned to the client, an attacker can recover the OTP offline very quickly and then submit the recovered value to the OTP validation routine. By combining the unverified email field with offline OTP recovery, an unauthenticated attacker can complete authentication as the user associated with the supplied email address, including an administrator account.
