CVE-2026-12846 is a critical stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the DVRSearch service of the GeoVision GV-I/O Box 4E. DVRSearch runs by default on the device and listens for unauthenticated UDP messages on port 10001, allowing any host with network reachability to interact with the service. In the vulnerable CMD_IP_SET code path, the implementation processes attacker-influenced network configuration data and uses the length of the Net Mask field from g_network_config->net_mask to copy data into a stack-based reply buffer at a fixed offset using memcpy, without adequate bounds checking. Because the copied length is derived from strlen on the source field and not constrained against the destination buffer capacity, a crafted request can trigger attacker-controlled memory corruption on the stack.
