CVE-2026-12849 is a critical OS command injection vulnerability affecting GeoVision GV-I/O Box 4E version 2.09. The flaw resides in the libNetSetObj.so library, which is used by device components to manage network configuration operations such as interface settings and related service control. The vulnerable function, CNetSetObj::m_F_n_Set_Net_Mask, accepts a netmask string, incorporates that attacker-controlled value into a shell command using sprintf, and then executes the resulting command via system() without sanitization or neutralization of shell metacharacters. Because the vulnerable code path is reachable through the network-exposed DVRSearch service and the Network.cgi endpoint, a specially crafted network request can trigger arbitrary command execution on the device.
