CVE-2026-14474 is an improper LDAP sudo policy search flaw in SSSD's LDAP sudo provider. If the ldap_sudo_search_base option is unset, the provider searches the full LDAP directory tree for sudoRole objects rather than restricting queries to an intended sudo-policy subtree. A low-privileged authenticated LDAP principal able to write in any subtree can add a malicious sudoRole object that SSSD consumes as a valid sudo policy.
