CVE-2026-14680 is a type-confusion vulnerability in PostgreSQL's handling of SQL calls to functions accepting the "internal" pseudo-type. This type represents mutually incompatible implementation-specific data structures that are not intended to be accessible through SQL. PostgreSQL attempted to prohibit calls exposing such arguments, but gaps in those restrictions allow SQL invocation paths that confuse incompatible internal structures. An authenticated database user can exploit affected function calls to execute arbitrary code in the operating-system context of the PostgreSQL server process.
