CVE-2026-15043 is a logic flaw in DBI::SQL::Nano for Perl affecting versions from 1.42 before 1.651. In the non-numeric string branch of the is_matched method, text comparisons for SQL WHERE predicates were implemented with the wrong Perl operators: <= was evaluated with ge, and >= was evaluated with le. As a result, string comparisons using these operators could be reversed, causing DBI::SQL::Nano to silently return incorrect rows. The issue affects DBI's built-in mini-SQL engine when it is used as the query engine for file-backed drivers such as DBD::File, DBD::DBM, and CSV-style drivers, including fallback operation when SQL::Statement is not installed or when SQL::Nano is explicitly forced.
