CVE-2026-15169 is an out-of-bounds write in Wireshark's UMTS FP E-DCH Type-2 dissector, in dissect_e_dch_t2_or_common_channel_info(). While processing packet-controlled MAC-is SDU descriptors, the dissector increments a per-PDU count without enforcing the inner array limit of 16 before storing LCH-ID and length values. An attacker can maintain the descriptor continuation flag across sufficient descriptors to write beyond the static subframes storage into adjacent global memory. The affected releases are Wireshark 4.6.0 through 4.6.6 and 4.4.0 through 4.4.16.
