CVE-2026-1528 is a denial-of-service vulnerability in undici's WebSocket frame parsing logic. A malicious WebSocket peer can send a frame encoded with the 64-bit payload length form and specify an extremely large length value. When processing this input, undici's ByteParser overflows internal arithmetic, transitions into an invalid parser state, and throws a fatal TypeError. In affected deployments, this unhandled failure terminates the Node.js process using undici, allowing a remote endpoint to crash the client or application handling the WebSocket connection.
