CVE-2026-15588 is a denial-of-service and resource exhaustion vulnerability in the GDBus component of GLib, specifically affecting GDBusServer during the pre-authentication phase. The flaw is in the gdbusauth authentication mechanism, which does not enforce proper length limits on SASL data lines received from a client. By sending excessively long streams of authentication data before authentication completes, an attacker can trigger unbounded buffering and excessive processing, leading to uncontrolled consumption of memory and CPU resources.
