CVE-2026-15830 is a denial-of-service vulnerability in GeoDjango affecting Django 5.2 before 5.2.17 and 6.0 before 6.0.8. The flaw is in django.contrib.gis.geos.GEOSGeometry when parsing deeply nested GEOMETRYCOLLECTION inputs supplied as well-known text (WKT), well-known binary (WKB), or hex-encoded WKB. Excessive nesting can trigger unbounded recursion in the underlying GEOS library and lead to a fatal error or segmentation fault. The issue also affects spatial field lookups and django.contrib.gis.forms.GeometryField because they invoke the same geometry parsing paths. Unsupported earlier Django branches were not evaluated and may also be affected.
