CVE-2026-16418 is a high-severity stack buffer overflow vulnerability in the V8 JavaScript engine used by Google Chrome. In Chrome versions prior to 150.0.7871.182, a remote attacker could trigger the flaw by causing the browser to process a crafted HTML page containing content that reaches the vulnerable V8 code path. The issue is a memory-safety error in a core JavaScript execution component and can lead to memory corruption during handling of attacker-controlled web content. Successful exploitation allows arbitrary code execution within the Chrome sandbox.
