CVE-2026-18344 is a reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability in the Wp Responsive Thumbnail Slider plugin for WordPress affecting versions before 1.1.53. The flaw is caused by insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the responsive_thumbnail_image_management() function, which outputs the user-controlled id parameter from the HTTP request directly into a double-quoted HTML attribute without proper escaping such as esc_attr(). A loose numeric comparison on the parameter is used as the only guard, but values with a numeric prefix can still satisfy that check while carrying attacker-controlled payload data. Because the value is reflected into HTML attribute context without safe encoding, an attacker can craft a malicious request that causes arbitrary script execution in a victim's browser when the vulnerable page is loaded.
