CVE-2026-19662 is a remotely reachable use-after-free vulnerability in BIND 9 named recursive resolver qpcache processing of DNSSEC NOQNAME proofs. An attacker operating an authoritative server for a DNSSEC-signed zone can return a specially crafted, ordered, and timed sequence of DNS responses to multiple resolver queries. This can cause named to access freed memory and abort. Affected releases are BIND 9.11.0 through 9.18.50, 9.20.0 through 9.20.27, Supported Preview Edition 9.11.3-S1 through 9.18.50-S1, and 9.20.9-S1 through 9.20.27-S1.
