CVE-2026-20006 is a denial-of-service vulnerability in the TLS cryptography functionality of the Snort 3 Detection Engine used by Cisco Secure Firewall Threat Defense (FTD) Software. The flaw is caused by an improper implementation of the TLS protocol in Snort 3 processing. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can trigger the issue by sending a crafted TLS packet to an affected device. Successful exploitation causes the Snort 3 Detection Engine to unexpectedly restart, interrupting inspection and resulting in dropped network traffic. TLS 1.3 is not affected.
