CVE-2026-20022 is a denial-of-service vulnerability in the OSPF protocol implementation of Cisco Secure Firewall ASA Software and Cisco Secure FTD Software. The flaw is triggered when OSPF canonicalization debugging is enabled with the relevant debug command. The vulnerability is caused by insufficient input validation during processing of OSPF Link State Update (LSU) packets. A remote adjacent attacker can send crafted unauthenticated OSPF packets that cause an out-of-bounds memory write beyond the packet data buffer. Successful exploitation can force the affected device to reload unexpectedly, interrupting routing and firewall services.
