CVE-2026-20093 is a critical authentication bypass vulnerability in the change password functionality of Cisco Integrated Management Controller (IMC). The flaw is caused by incorrect handling of password change requests, allowing a remote attacker without authentication to submit a crafted HTTP request directly to an affected device. Successful exploitation enables modification of the password for any existing account on the system, including an Admin account, after which the attacker can log in as that user. Because Cisco IMC is an out-of-band baseboard management controller operating below the host operating system and hypervisor, compromise of this interface can result in control over the managed server at the hardware-management layer.
