CVE-2026-20181 is a critical authenticated remote code execution vulnerability affecting Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) and Cisco ISE Passive Identity Connector (ISE-PIC). The flaw is caused by insufficient validation of user-supplied input in HTTP request handling, allowing a remote attacker with valid administrative credentials to send crafted HTTP requests that result in arbitrary command execution on the underlying operating system. Successful exploitation can provide user-level operating system access, after which the attacker may further elevate privileges to root. In single-node deployments, exploitation can also render the affected node unavailable.
