CVE-2026-20307 is an insecure deserialization vulnerability in the web-based management interface of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE). An authenticated remote attacker with at least low-privileged administrative credentials can submit a crafted serialized Java object that is insecurely deserialized from a user-supplied byte stream. Successful exploitation can execute arbitrary commands or code on the underlying operating system and elevate privileges to root. In single-node deployments, exploitation may also make the ISE node unavailable and prevent endpoints that have not already authenticated from accessing the network until the node is restored.

Cisco ISE vulnerability that allows an authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the underlying operating system.
Authenticated operating-system command-execution vulnerability in the Cisco ISE web management interface.
An authenticated remote command-execution and privilege-escalation vulnerability in Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)'s web-based management interface. An attacker with at least low-privileged administrative credentials can submit a crafted serialized Java object, execute code as root, and potentially render a single-node ISE deployment unavailable.
An authenticated remote code-execution and privilege-escalation vulnerability in Cisco ISE's web-based management interface caused by insecure deserialization of a user-supplied Java byte stream. An attacker with low-privileged administrative credentials can send a crafted serialized Java object to execute code as root. In single-node deployments, exploitation may also render the ISE node unavailable and prevent unauthenticated endpoints from accessing the network.
