CVE-2026-20744 is an improper authentication vulnerability affecting the Hydro-Québec Le Circuit Electrique charging station backend. The flaw is present in a charging station WebSocket endpoint that accepts connections without proper authentication controls. Because the endpoint does not correctly enforce authentication before allowing access, a remote attacker may be able to establish a connection to functionality that should be restricted and then leverage that access to escalate privileges. Reported affected versions are version 0 through versions earlier than June_2026 under the vendor's custom versioning scheme.
