CVE-2026-2092 is an improper validation flaw in Keycloak's SAML broker endpoint. When processing SAML responses, Keycloak does not properly validate encrypted assertions if the overall SAML response itself is not signed. An attacker who possesses a valid signed SAML assertion can craft a malicious SAML response that includes an injected encrypted assertion representing an arbitrary principal. Because the broker endpoint fails to correctly enforce the expected trust and validation relationship between the response and the enclosed encrypted assertion, the attacker can cause Keycloak to accept identity data for a different user than intended. This can result in authentication as an arbitrary principal and exposure of information associated with that identity.
