CVE-2026-21049 is an out-of-bounds write vulnerability in the libpadm.so library affecting Samsung Mobile Devices prior to SMR Jul-2026 Release 1. The flaw allows memory to be written beyond the intended buffer boundary in the vulnerable library. A local attacker with the ability to reach the vulnerable code path can exploit the memory corruption condition to achieve arbitrary code execution. Samsung indicates that devices updated to SMR Jul-2026 Release 1 in Android 14, 15, and 16 are not affected.
