CVE-2026-22252 is a critical vulnerability in LibreChat affecting versions prior to v0.8.2-rc2. LibreChat's MCP stdio transport accepts arbitrary commands without validation, allowing an authenticated user to supply attacker-controlled command values through the API. As a result, a single crafted API request can trigger execution of shell commands as root inside the LibreChat container. The issue is remotely exploitable and stems from insufficient restriction of privileged functionality exposed through the MCP stdio transport.
