CVE-2026-2332 is an HTTP/1.1 request smuggling vulnerability in Eclipse Jetty's HTTP parser. The flaw affects parsing of chunked transfer encoding extensions in quoted-string values. Jetty incorrectly terminates chunk extension parsing when a carriage return and line feed sequence appears inside an unterminated quoted string, instead of rejecting the request as malformed. This parser discrepancy can allow an attacker to craft a chunked HTTP request that is interpreted differently by Jetty and an upstream or downstream HTTP component, enabling a smuggled follow-on request to be injected into the connection stream. The issue has been described as similar to "funky chunks" request smuggling techniques. Affected deployments include products embedding Jetty, including Oracle components that rely on Eclipse Jetty.
