CVE-2026-23482 is a path traversal vulnerability in Blinko, an AI-powered card note-taking project. In versions prior to 1.8.4, the file server endpoint fails to enforce permission checks for the temp/ path and does not properly sanitize or reject path traversal sequences. As a result, an unauthenticated attacker can traverse outside the intended directory and read arbitrary files from the server filesystem. In deployments where scheduled backup tasks are enabled, the flaw can also be used to access backup data containing all user notes and user authentication tokens.
