CVE-2026-24660 is a heap-based buffer overflow in LibRaw’s x3f_load_huffman functionality, reported by Cisco Talos as TALOS-2026-2359. The issue affects LibRaw commit d20315b and is reachable while parsing specially crafted malicious RAW image files, specifically through the X3F decoding path. When LibRaw processes attacker-controlled file data, the vulnerable code can write beyond the bounds of a heap-allocated buffer, resulting in memory corruption.
