CVE-2026-25681 is a cross-site scripting vulnerability in golang.org/x/net/html. The HTML parser incorrectly handles character references in DOCTYPE nodes. Parsing attacker-controlled HTML and subsequently rendering it can produce an unexpected HTML tree, allowing input that was believed to have been sanitized to be interpreted differently by a browser. Applications that parse, sanitize, and render untrusted HTML using the affected component may therefore be susceptible to XSS.
