CVE-2026-27135 is a denial-of-service vulnerability in nghttp2 versions prior to 1.68.1. Following invocation of the public session-termination APIs nghttp2_session_terminate_session or nghttp2_session_terminate_session2, including internal invocation after a connection error, missing internal state validation can permit continued processing of incoming HTTP/2 data. A malformed HTTP/2 frame processed in this invalid post-termination state can cause a FRAME_SIZE_ERROR path to reach an assertion failure.
