CVE-2026-27305 is an unauthenticated path traversal vulnerability in Adobe ColdFusion. Adobe states that ColdFusion 2025 Update 6 and earlier and ColdFusion 2023 Update 18 and earlier are affected. The flaw is caused by improper limitation of a pathname to a restricted directory, allowing attacker-controlled path input to escape the intended directory scope and resolve files elsewhere on the server file system. The issue can be exploited remotely over the network with low attack complexity, requires no privileges and no user interaction, and results in arbitrary file system read. The available reporting indicates the vulnerability stems from insufficient validation or sanitization of file path input before filesystem resolution, enabling traversal sequences such as ../ to access sensitive files and directories outside the intended access scope.
