CVE-2026-28373 is a path traversal vulnerability in Stackfield Desktop App versions 1.10.1 and earlier for Windows and macOS. During organization-data-export decryption, the application derives output paths from attacker-controlled filePath and fileGuid metadata. Insufficient path sanitization allows traversal outside the intended export directory. The affected file-handling routine then writes attacker-controlled decrypted content to the resolved location, resulting in an arbitrary-file-write condition.

A path traversal vulnerability in Stackfield Desktop App before version 1.10.2 for macOS and Windows that can allow a malicious export to write arbitrary content to any path on the victim's filesystem.
A CVSS 7.1 path-traversal/arbitrary-file-write vulnerability in Stackfield Desktop App's encrypted organization-data-export import and decryption workflow. An attacker sharing a Stackfield room with a victim can use the shared room encryption key to craft a malicious encrypted export. When imported, attacker-controlled metadata can write attacker-controlled files outside the intended export directory, potentially achieving code execution through Windows Startup-folder writes or macOS ~/.zshenv modification.
