CVE-2026-28914 is a macOS Gatekeeper bypass vulnerability in ZIP archive handling. A logic flaw in file handling allowed a maliciously crafted ZIP archive to bypass Gatekeeper checks, causing content extracted or handled from the archive to evade the expected trust and quarantine validation enforced by Gatekeeper. Apple indicates the issue was addressed through improved file handling logic. The vulnerability affects macOS and was fixed in macOS Sequoia 15.7.8, macOS Sonoma 14.8.8, and macOS Tahoe 26.5.
