CVE-2026-28988 is a permissions issue in the Accounts component of Apple platforms that could allow an application to bypass certain Privacy preferences. The flaw affected supported releases of iOS, iPadOS, macOS Tahoe, visionOS, and watchOS prior to version 26.5. Apple indicates the issue was addressed by adding additional restrictions, which is consistent with insufficient enforcement of authorization or permission checks around privacy-controlled access.
