CVE-2026-32042 is a privilege escalation vulnerability in OpenClaw affecting versions 2026.2.22 prior to 2026.2.25. The flaw allows an unpaired device identity to bypass the intended operator pairing approval workflow and request elevated operator scopes, including operator.admin, before pairing approval is granted. According to the provided information, an attacker with valid shared gateway authentication can present a self-signed unpaired device identity and obtain higher operator scopes that should only be available after successful pairing and authorization checks. The issue is consistent with an incorrect authorization weakness in the handling of device identity and operator scope assignment.
