CVE-2026-33871 is a denial-of-service vulnerability in Netty HTTP/2 server handling prior to 4.1.132.Final and 4.2.10.Final. The HTTP/2 implementation does not impose an effective limit on the number of CONTINUATION frames processed. An attacker can send a flood of zero-byte CONTINUATION frames to bypass existing size-based protections, causing disproportionate CPU consumption with minimal network bandwidth.
