CVE-2026-35051 is an authentication bypass vulnerability in Traefik's ForwardAuth middleware affecting Traefik versions prior to 2.11.43, 3.6.14, and 3.7.0-rc.2. When ForwardAuth is configured with trustForwardHeader=false and Traefik is deployed behind a trusted upstream proxy, Traefik correctly rebuilds some forwarded headers from trusted context but fails to strip or reconstruct X-Forwarded-Prefix. As a result, an attacker can supply a crafted X-Forwarded-Prefix value that is forwarded into the authentication subrequest unchanged. If the downstream authentication service uses that header for routing or authorization decisions, the attacker can influence the auth decision and bypass protection for routes that should require authentication.
