CVE-2026-3545 is a high-severity insufficient data validation vulnerability in the Navigation component of Google Chrome prior to 145.0.7632.159. The flaw can be triggered by a crafted HTML page and allows a compromised renderer process to induce incorrect browser-side handling during navigation, resulting in a sandbox escape. Available reporting indicates the vulnerable condition stems from inadequate validation of navigation-related data crossing trust boundaries between the renderer and the browser, enabling the browser to be tricked into reading local files that should not be accessible to web content.
