CVE-2026-39118 is a local privilege-escalation vulnerability in Iru, Inc. Kandji Agent before version 4.7.5 (build 5374) on macOS. The flaw is caused by insufficient validation of clients communicating with privileged agent functionality over XPC, creating a trust-boundary failure in which an unprivileged local user can impersonate or otherwise appear as a trusted client and invoke restricted operations exposed by the agent’s privileged components. Reported exploitation involved a two-phase XPC chain against the agent daemon that allowed invocation of sensitive functionality intended only for trusted Kandji components. The weakness enabled permanent deactivation of the agent, including removal of protective guards and termination of its Endpoint Security Framework extension, resulting in loss of management and security telemetry.
