CVE-2026-40452 is an incorrect authorization and improper access control vulnerability in Apache IoTDB affecting the /rest/v2/fastLastQuery REST endpoint. The flaw allows an authenticated user to bypass intended authorization checks and access last-value query results without having the required permissions for the underlying data. As a result, the endpoint can disclose time-series last-value data to users who are authenticated to the system but not authorized to view the requested information. Affected versions are Apache IoTDB 1.3.5 before 1.3.8 and 2.0.5 before 2.0.10.
