CVE-2026-40454 is an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the Apache IoTDB C++ client caused by improper input validation in the TsBlock deserializer. When the client processes malformed data returned by a server, the deserialization logic can read beyond intended memory bounds, causing the client process to crash. The issue affects Apache IoTDB C++ client versions 1.3.5 through before 1.3.8 and 2.0.5 through before 2.0.10.
