CVE-2026-40933 is a command-injection vulnerability in Flowise Custom MCP tooling using the MCP stdio transport. Unsafe serialization and execution of user-controlled MCP command and argument configuration allows a configured stdio server to spawn an arbitrary process on the Flowise host. Validation based on command allowlists and blocked flags is insufficient because permitted launchers can accept alternate execution-capable arguments or environment-controlled behavior. A crafted chatflow containing a malicious Custom MCP configuration can also trigger execution during import when Flowise enumerates MCP actions for the rendered flow. The issue affects self-hosted Flowise deployments where stdio MCP is available; Flowise Cloud is not affected because stdio MCP is disabled.
