CVE-2026-41695 is a high-severity denial-of-service vulnerability in Spring Data Commons. MappingContext property-path resolution can consume unbounded resources when an application passes attacker-controlled property-path strings to the resolver. Repeated submission of unique invalid paths can drive heap growth and resource exhaustion; recursive or deeply nested domain-property graphs can increase the cost of resolution. Spring Data Commons does not directly expose the affected API to untrusted callers, so exposure depends on the consuming Spring Data module or application code, such as deployments that accept externally controlled sort, projection, PATCH, or similar property-path parameters.
