Dify before version 1.14.0 contains an authorization bypass in the chat-messages workflow that allows an authenticated user to read the full contents of files uploaded by other users within the same tenant. The flaw is triggered by supplying an arbitrary file UUID in the files array of a chat-messages request. The affected endpoint fails to properly verify that the referenced file is owned by, or authorized for, the requesting user before making it available to downstream workflow or chatbot processing. As a result, an attacker can attach another user’s file identifier to their own message and induce a file-capable chatbot or workflow to process and disclose the file contents, bypassing intended workspace separation and signed-URL based access protections.
