Prometheus versions before 3.5.3 and 3.11.3 store the Azure AD remote-write OAuth client secret as a plain string rather than the Secret type. Consequently, Prometheus configuration serialization does not redact this credential when configuration is served through its HTTP configuration API, allowing the Azure OAuth client secret to be returned in plaintext.
